Last days! - Day 29 & 30

Sunglasses: Target, Coat: Kohl's, Tights: Urban Outfitters
Oh my goodness! Dracula was amazing! We had such a blast. Here is what I wore. I wanted to stick to red and black to go along with the Dracula theme.

Here is what my man wore. Doesn't he look handsome? :)

And here is my outfit today! My last day of my 30x30! I cannot express how excited I am about it!
Hat: Target, Tights: Target

If you noticed, I found a brown hat! I mentioned before that I had been looking for one. I just had to go to Madison to get one!

My final review of the 30x30 challenge:

This was definitely a learning experience. Nothing makes you appreciate the clothes you already own like not wearing most of them for a month. This month has taught me to be more creative with my layering, and it taught me that I can go a month without shopping. But, I am very excited to have my wardrobe back. (Not that you'll see it tomorrow, being Halloween and all!) Overall, I highly recommend this challenge to anyone who needs a refresher or who wants to try to cut back on their shopping addiction.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful evening and a Happy Halloween! :)

Tree hugger - Day 28

Necklace: Old Navy, Bracelet: Rue 21, Ring: Gift
Again no outfit post yesterday! Sorry! This is from yesterday. I drove down to Madison from school, and Garrett and I met my parents and my cousin, Tyler, for dinner at The Melting Pot! It's my favorite restaurant, and normally I only get to go for my birthday (it's rather expensive) so last night was a treat!

I've been at Stevens Point too long. I'm actually hugging the trees. Haha.

These pictures were taken in the park across the street from Garrett's apartment. I love all the fall colors!

Tonight, Garrett and I are going to see the Milwaukee Ballet perform Dracula! I love ballets so I'm pretty excited. Garrett has never been to one before, so I think this is a good way to break him into going to them since Dracula will be pretty nontraditional.

Since I won't have time to post today's outfit today (I'm still in my pajamas!), I will post it tomorrow with my last outfit in my 30x30!!! I can't wait to show you guys all the other clothes I actually have! Ha.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Halloween weekend!

That 70's Show - Day 26 & 27

Tights: Target, Belt: Wet Seal, Headband: American Apparel, Necklace: Charming Charlie
I'm so sorry for not posting again yesterday! I had to get together with my group for a project and we ended up staying until midnight! Once I got home, I decided to call it a night. This was my outfit yesterday.
You get to see a glimpse into my room! In the background is my chaise lounge. My parents got it for me at a rummage sale a few years ago and I love it! It serves as my desk in my room to do all my homework.
 Here is my outfit today.
Necklace: Gift, Ring: Wet Seal
I've been watching a lot of That 70's Show lately (it's on instant play on Netflix!). That 70's Show holds a special place in a Wisconsinite's heart because it takes place in Wisconsin. Point Place, Wisconsin to be exact, which we in Stevens Point like to believe is based on our little town here.
So this outfit is loosely inspired by That 70's Show. I even flipped out my hair today (even though it didn't stay as well as I hoped).
I cannot wait until this month is over! I really really want the rest of my closet back!!

A real smile - Day 24 & 25

Bow: Made by me, Tights: Target, Scarf: Gift
The downside: I had two exams today! The upside: I feel pretty good about them! The other upside (bonus!): The rest of my week is pretty easy sailings. This is what I wore yesterday.
Look! A real smile! This should make some people happy! :)
Here is what I wore today. I was told that I looked really Halloween-ish today. I took it as a compliment!
Necklace (worn as headband): Thrifted, Jacket: Wet Seal, Scarf: Hot Topic
OMG another real smile? What is this madness?!

This, my lovely readers, is my new bike. I bought it from Cassie. Isn't it beautiful? Sometime, when I have time (haha, right) I want to strip it and paint it another color. I can't decided what though. Green? Purple? Yellow? Suggestions?
Behind me here is my new work system. I've been reading a lovely blog, Miss Elise over at A Beautiful Mess. She has amazing ideas! I found her post, 5 tips for prolific living. I made a list of goals (a to-do list) with deadlines and rewards and I'm keeping them posted on my walls in my new workspace.
 Checking off another thing!
It's really helping with my willingness to do my homework. You should check it out!

Summer colors - Day 23

Tights: Target, Scarf: Forever 21
I have a confession to make. I didn't actually wear this outfit today. I didn't get dressed at all today because I didn't really leave the house. Cas took these pictures yesterday morning before she left to go home, but then I ended up changing later in the day. So, if I had left the house, this is what I would have worn.

I love this scarf! It's big and warm, and it comes with a hood! Most of my coats don't have hoods so I like to wear this scarf a lot in the cold months.

I decided to experiment with wearing summer colors in the fall. It's fun pairing my usual summer skirt with my fall boots. It's a little more unexpected.

I meant to take pictures of my thrift finds, but I think that will have to wait until later this week. I have two exams on Tuesday, so that takes priority. But this coming week I will be sharing with you a few things I plan on adding to this blog. I have great plans for when I'm finished with my 30x30!

Stripes and polka dots - Day 22

Tights: Target, Belt: Thrifted, Bow: Made by me
I'd like to start by saying Happy Birthday to my wonderful step-mom, Ruth! I'm heading over to Oshkosh this evening to go out to dinner with her, my dad and little sister.
Cassie went home for the weekend so it's just me, my camera and my tripod today. I decided to have some fun with my outfit today. I love the look of primary colors together. I also love mixing stripes and polka dots.
My bow was actually made from the tank that came with the belt I'm wearing. This is one of my favorite bows.
I made a Goodwill run this morning to get some ties for my niece's bow request. I found some great stuff! I'll be sure to show you tomorrow.
I hope everyone is enjoying their day!

Obsessions - Day 21

Tights: Urban Outfitters, Leg Warmers: Kmart, Earrings: Etsy, Bow: Made by me
There's something you should know about me. I am a Harry Potter fanatic. Big fan. Big big fan. I read all the books the day they came out. I saw all the movies opening weekend. I've been to Harry Potter World, drank butterbeer (most delicious thing in the whole world!), and even purchased a wand. It's pretty awesome.
I even took a Hogwarts Houses personality test. I'm a Ravenclaw. What house are you in? Take the test and let me know!
This outfit may or may not be loosely inspired by Harry Potter. Hence the navy and bronze bow. And the pleated skirt. But this is not a completely random act. Tonight, the campus theater is showing HP7 part 2. So, naturally, I need to be there. I'm dragging Cassie along.

I got these earring from a girl on Etsy. They are Luna Lovegood earrings. The ends of them even glow in the dark! Luna is my favorite character. She's funny and quirky but still very smart. She is a Ravenclaw after all.

My bow is made from an old tie. I learned how to make them from a tutorial on Katherine's blog, thrifted things. For the tutorial, click here. Since I started making them, I've become a bit bow-obsessed.  I have quite a collection of bows, and ties to make into bows. And now my nieces are requesting bows! (They're all under the age of 9)

I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday!!
