A Kristine Post

Shirt: H&M // Skirt: Thrifted // Belt: Charlotte Russe // Shoes: Urban Outfitters // Watch: Betsey Johnson // Headband: Shabby Apple
This is a total Kristine or Polly post. The outfit was planned, as Kristine is the master of pattern mixing, but after I looked at the pictures, I realized that my poses were definitely Kristine-esque too.

Saturday, I spent some time with my mom and Bob, planning room colors for the house they just bought! They are moving at the end of the month. We also got to play with some of their photography equipment while taking my photos. Then on Saturday night, Garrett and I saw The Artist. It was so good! I think it definitely earned the Best Picture Oscar.

So, who is totally loving this weather? It's been in the 60s all weekend and it's supposed to stick throughout this week. I know it's only the middle of March and rather unlikely, but I really hope the warm weather sticks.

"I Need a Superhero"

Shirt: Thrifted // Pants: Rue 21 // Shoes: Deb's // Red Bracelet: Africa // Silver Bracelet: Thrifted // Watch: Betsey Johnson // Glasses: Ray-Ban
This was a small attempt at looking like a superhero. The glasses were my "undercover" look. Ha. When I put on these shoes, I was hoping it would be warmer out, but naturally I pulled out my first open-toed pair on the coldest day of this week. (Garrett is cringing at my peep-toes right now, I know it.)

I am so in love with colored jeans right now. I have a pair in pink and bright blue also. I was about to get rid of them but then I realized that I've been wearing way too many skirts and dresses lately and decided I needed to re-branch out. Oh and yes, I am wearing a ring pop. They are the greatest invention of candy ever.

P.S. The title is a song by The Pretty Reckless. They are pretty awesome, check them out! Garrett and I are seeing them in concert at the end of the month!

Awkward.

Shirt: Allen B. // Tank: Wet Seal // Jeans: Target // Shoes: Target // Glasses: Ray-Ban // Watch: Betsey Johnson
I don't know what was going on today, but my pictures were so awkward. Well, I mean I was awkward in them. I think it's because my poses are getting a little too repetitive and I'm becoming self-concious about it. Any tips on good poses?

On a more positive note, I'm so glad it's starting to get warmer out! It got up to 60 degrees today! I was so happy to pull out this shirt again. I really haven't worn it since my 30x30 days, mostly because it doesn't really work well in the colder months. I would say spring is here, but I'm in Wisconsin (yes, I'm sure you know that by now...) and saying that would just jinx it. So that was me not saying it!

(Almost) Spring

Coat: Marshel's // Dress: Delias // Sweater: Aero // Necklace: From Karen // Sunglasses: Urban Outfitters // Watch: Betsey Johnson // Shoes: Thrifted
Oh my goodness! Today was beautiful outside! You wouldn't guess it from all the snow on the ground, but I was at the dog park with Liz, and it doesn't get shoveled or anything all winter, so it take forever to melt. But it got up to 50 degrees outside, which is a heat wave for Wisconsin in March. Awesome!

Every spring, wearing multiple bright colors is usually in fashion. I have never really practiced this trend. I'm more of a "wear lots of neutrals and highlight one color". But for some reason, this spring, I am all about the colors! I had a hard time keeping my outfit to only a couple colors. I don't know what's come over me, but I am totally loving it!

Is anyone else breaking out of their comfort wardrobe zone? I'd love to hear about it!

P.S. My outfit reminds me of a watermelon. I love it!

Birthday Weekend!

Dress: Made by me // Sweater: Wet Seal // Belt: Charlotte Russe // Shoes: Target // Short Necklace: Tiffany's // Long Necklace: JewelMint // Watch: Betsey Johnson

Coat: Marshel's // Scarf: Kmart // Jeans: Forever 21 // Tank: Wet Seal // Sweater: Wet Seal // Shoes: Target // Watch: Betsey Johnson
So, my birthday was on Thursday. The top three pictures are what I wore that day. Garrett came up to Point to see me and we went out to dinner with Liz. He gave me my awesome Betsey Johnson watch for my birthday!
Then on Friday, I went to Madison to see my mom and Bob. I also wore my birthday dress to dinner. They gave me a gift certificate to Joann Fabrics (whoot whoot!) and season four of the show Chuck, which is one of the greatest shows ever!
Then on Saturday was my bff's, Karen, birthday. (It is epically awesome to have a birthday so close to your bff's, FYI.) So, I went down to see her and we went out to lunch and did some shopping with her boyfriend, Joe. I bought this amazing spring coat with the money Liz gave me for my birthday, so basically she got it for me!

It was a pretty long weekend, but it was so much fun! I'm glad I got to see everyone I wanted to in the last week and a half. It was a wonderful birthday and thank you to everyone!
