Black and...White

Sweater: Modcloth // Blouse: Equipment // Jeans: Blank Denim // Shoes: Loeffler Randall

Purse: Modcloth
I don't normally go for cutesy bags, but I have a weakness for corgis.
This is the first time this challenge I've brought another color (or lack of color, depending on how specific you want to be) into an outfit. I may have to continue with that because 100% black is a lot harder than I was expecting it to be. Nevertheless, I'm still trudging along.

Black and...Sporty

Sweater: Etsy // Dress: Parker // Shoes: Ash // Purse: Alexander Wang
I call this my sporty look. I'm definitely one of the least sporty people I know so anything that involves a sweatshirt and sneakers is probably going to look like this.
This is also how I imagine a Spice Girl looking if you mixed Sporty and Posh together. Ha.

Black and...a Casual Weekend

T-Shirt: LNA // Shorts: Black Milk Clothing
Sweater: Free People // Tank: Gap // Leggings: Black Milk Clothing // Boots: Sam Edelman

Weekends at work are pretty quiet so I like to keep it comfortable. These leggings are great because they're fleece lined - perfect for cool days.
My Sunday was spent relaxing and bingeing on Netflix after a brunch with my bff. What does everyone else like spending their weekends doing?

Black and...a Haircut

Dress: Black Milk Clothing // Top: Free People // Boots: Forever 21
Well, growing out my hair didn't last. Ha. I feel like myself again though and I'm happy to be back to the pixie cut. I always like pairing a pixie with a feminine fit and flare dress to balance out the masculinity. Layering it with this Free People top makes it perfect for fall!

Black and...

Top: Cheap Monday // Sweater: Forever 21 // Leggings: Black Milk Clothing // Boots: Sam Edelman

Today is my second favorite day of the year. It's officially October meaning pumpkin picking!

A few years ago when I started my first blog, I did a month long fashion challenge. The 30x30. You can see those posts here! I decided it's time for another one. This month is a month of black outfits. 30 days of black. I started today with my web leggings to get into the spirit of Halloween and pumpkin picking. What's great about them is they're not too over the top or in your face.

I'm looking forward to the new challenge!

Happy Fall!

T-Shirt: 291 // Fur Vest: H&M // Jeans: 3x1 // Hat: Forever 21 // Booties: Forever 21
Happy Fall! Today I decided to pull together my best bohemian fall look. I picked up the (faux) fur vest from H&M. I've never been one for fur coats or vests, but I thought I'd give it a try this season. What looks are you trying this fall?

Fall Dresses

Dress: Ann Taylor // Booties: Jeffrey Campbell // Belt: B-Low the Belt

Dress: H&M // Sweater: Forever21 // Boots: Thrifted

What I've been wearing lately. Fall is in full bloom here in Wisconsin so I've been layering it up. The trench dress was an unexpected find from Ann Taylor. After seeing Blair in it, I was sold. I can't wait to find so many more ways to wear it.

I felt a little witchy in my black layers outfit. Isn't that was fall is for though? I'm pretty much ready for Halloween season.

I also found my favorite lipstick combination. Saving that for Make Up Monday though.

Off Duty Ballerina

Sweater: Enza Costa // Jeans: Blank Denim // Shoes: Melissa // Scarf: Modcloth

I call this my "off duty ballerina" look. I practiced Ballet for 18 years, so I love the nostalgia these flats bring. The ribbons are removable, so they're versatile as well.
I'm also loving green for this fall. Personally, I find so many shades of green work for this season. Emerald, hunter, forest, kelly. Even seafoam brings an unexpected twist. What colors are you craving for this season?

Comfy Cozy

Sweater: Feel the Piece // Tank: Gap // Leggings: Black Milk // Boots: Sam Edelman // Scarf: Modcloth

I did a thing with my hair too.

So, I left my phone at home on Tuesday. I felt completely off kilter all day because of it. I was mostly bummed because I had a great outfit and I feel like no one got to see it because I didn't have a way to take pics. #firstworldproblems

Anyway, today it was about 50 degrees outside. Fall has officially begun? I had to dig through my closet to find a sweater that was off the shoulder enough to show off my new tattoo. I got back late and then had to get up early, so I opted for a "lazy" outfit today. (I'm not quite sure how that's different than any other day, but it is.)

Amy Zager is a BAMF and the most amazing artist. She's also one of the sweetest people I've ever met. If you're in the Chicago area (or close by), I highly recommend paying her a visit at Tattoo Factory.

Sunday Inspiration

Fall is just around the corner. I'm ready for pumpkin spice flavored everything and changing leaves. This is one of my favorite times of the year. Here's some fashion I'm looking at now:

Mid-Week Weekend

Dress: Vera Wang // Sandals: Splendid // Hat: Target

Skirt: Prada

Top: Dolce Vita // Jeans: Rag & Bone // Shoes: Dolce Vita // Purse: Alexander Wang

Shirt: A Fine Line // Skirt: JOA // Purse: Cambridge Satchel

Color: Chanel // Matte Top Coat: Formula X
Whenever Jenna comes to visit, there's always lots of pictures and beauty products. I'm completely in love with the matte top coat from Formula X. Now I can make all my colors matte. It's going to be my fall nail statement.

I think I also finally mastered the smokey eye, which I'm pretty excited to show you!

Make Up Monday: Going Nude

For the longest time, I never understood the concept of nude lipstick or nail polish. They always felt boring to me. Lately, I've found they can bring such a chic-ness to even the simplest of outfits.
Nail Polish: Chanel // Lipstick: Rimmel
I have a solid nail polish addiction. (Ask anyone I know.) Chanel's fall collection featured a nude this season, so I decided to take the plunge on my first nude nail polish. I am sold. There's just enough pink, just enough yellow. I'm convinced it would look good with any skin tone.

I've been a fan of Kate Moss' Rimmel collection for a while. I'm slowly building up my collection, but I find myself getting a little bored with their lack of color risks. Maybe because I'm used to seeing collections by OCC or Melt and all their crazy colors. I picked up this nude today. It's a solid nude. I wish it wasn't quite so sheer though. Overall, a solid investment.

And an outfit for you.
T Shirt: T by Alexander Wang // Jeans: Mother // Booties: Rag & Bone // Flower Crown: That Madonna Girl
