White After Labor Day

Top: Allen B. // Tank: Wet Seal // Pants: Ellery // Shoes: Crocs // Scarf: Wal-Mart // Earrings: Thrifted // Watch: Betsey Johnson
How amazing are these pants? I've been keeping my eye out for a great pair of white, extremely flared pants for about a year now. I was so excited when I found these! They fit like a glove and they're super comfortable. The white makes them classic, the corduroy makes them fall. I'm completely smitten!

Leather & Flannel

Tank: Hot Topic // Shirt: Urban Outfitters // Leggings: Forever 21 // Boots: Vera Wang // Hat: Rue 21 // Bracelet: Lia Sophia // Watch: Betsey Johnson
First flannel shirt of the season! It means fall is officially here...right? Normally when I wear flannel, it's pretty straight-forward. Buttoned up and sometimes layered with a sweater over it. After finding this:

on (where else?) Pinterest, I thought to myself, how did I not think of this sooner? Flannel unbuttoned? Genius. Slouchy tee? Even more genius. And leather? Completely brilliant.

I'm also pretty sure I was hoping if I wore my flannel shirt the same way this girl did then it would magically make me look like her as well. Ha.

Glamural: Fall Leather

Glamural: Fall Leather

I'm really inspired by leather right now. I love mixing it with soft, girly fabrics and patterns. I have a pair of (faux) leather leggings that I want to wear every day, and I've been wearing my (again, faux) leather jacket over every dress I own. One day I'll afford real (or super nice faux) leather.

What are you currently loving?

Classy with an Edge

Top: Discovery // Skirt: Thrifted // Petticoat: Hot Topic // Shoes: Rock & Republic // Watch: Betsey Johnson
How many favorite outfits are you allowed to have? Because another one has been added to the list. I've always loved this skirt, and I love it more with the pink petticoat under it. This skirt has my trifecta: it's patterned, it's poufy and it has pockets. This shirt is nice and thin, but the sleeves keep me warm on a cool night. And these shoes...oh these shoes. I don't normally do peeptoe. Or thin heels. Or 4 inch heels for that matter. But something about the nude with the black make them so classy and the studs add just enough edge. They define my style.
I wore this outfit to meet my parents out on the Union Terrace for drinks with some of their coworkers. The lake always makes for a beautiful backdrop. Along with the sunset. Can anyone else believe how quickly the sun is setting now?! I can't believe it's September already!

Life Lately

Dress: Rock & Republic // Shoes: Converse // Sunglasses: Rue 21 // Watch: Betsey Johnson // Purse: Betsey Johnson
Wow, it's been forever since I've blogged about anything! I'm sorry for the long absence, lots of things have been a-happenin' around here!

First of all, I think it's pretty obvious I'm back to my red again. Blonde was fun, but it takes a lot of upkeep. After thinking about it for a while, I realized that red just feels more like me.

Also, my sister-in-law just had a baby girl, Stella. This will be grandchild number nine in my family!

In other (very very exciting) news, I was offered a full-time, big girl job at shopbop.com! So I quit Express and cut down my hours at ALDO. Shopbop is an online retailer that sells designer clothes to all over the world. It's considered a one-stop shop for the latest fashions, and it's located right in the middle of Madison! How perfect is that? I'm currently in the customer service department, so if you call/email/chat them, you may end up talking to me! Everyone there is wonderful and I'm so excited to begin the next chapter of my life!

So, now that things are starting to settle down around here, you can start looking forward to more posts again and maybe some new designer pieces. (I did just manage to snatch up a pair of Alexander McQueen flats for an unbelievable price!)
