Dalmatian

Top: Worthington // Pants: Target // Shoes: ALDO // Sunglasses: Urban Outfitters // Bracelet: JewelMint // Watch: Betsey Johnson
This top reminds me of Cruella De Vil, making me wish I would have paired it with my red jeans instead. An idea for next time I suppose.
I wore this for my shift at Express the other day, which is ironic because nothing I'm wearing is from Express. I got away with it because we currently have pants in this same shade and a similar top. It just shows that when something is big, it really is everywhere. (It also shows that Target is ahead of the game!)

Summer Love

Dress: Made by me // Shoes: ALDO // Belt: Thrifted // Necklace: Claire's(?) // Bracelet: JewelMint // Watch: Betsey Johnson
Ever since last Valentine's Day, when I made this beautiful dress, it's been sitting in the back of my closet, begging to be worn. I never did because I needed to do some touch ups on it if I was going to be wearing it in the summer (I was able to cover minor mistakes with my sweater back in February). But the other morning I had some time (and motivation), so I fixed her right up and she was beautiful again.

I was told I looked like Betty Boop. I was going for Marilyn Monroe. I'm rather happy with the combination of the two!

Inspiration: Fall Fashion 2012

With August right around the corner, the one thing on everyone's mind is: "What's going to be the look for this fall?" (Well maybe not everyone, but at least everyone reading this I would think.) After hours and hours of slaving away on the computer (not true at all), I noticed that everyone is saying different things. But I did find a few that were common between most of the websites I've been reading.

Winter Whites...in the Fall
Source
I'm not sure how I feel about wearing white in the fall. Something about fall says browns and oranges more than crisp, clean whites to me. But maybe if it's more of an off-white, I can see how it would work. It does make for a great transition piece into winter.

From the Wilderness to the Runway

I believe that each season needs to have some trends that are ultimately the same each year, otherwise we'd have nothing to look forward to. This is one of those looks that I feel like I can only embrace in the fall. I've never been a country girl, but I love fall outdoors-y looks. Does that make me a phony?

Modern Military

Military themed is a little guilty pleasure of mine...on everyone else. I've never been able to successfully execute this look, but some women can really pull it off. I love the earth-tone colors mixed with the structure. And those big, brass buttons!

In addition to these trends, I've been seeing a lot of red, peter pan collars, and cozy sweaters (of course!). I don't know about you, but I am completely ready for fall! What trends are you looking forward to?

Glamural: Studs

Well, I know it's been a while, but I think I'm finally back! And what better way than to start with a Glamural! Here is what I'm currently loving:

Glamural: Studs

Since the red has pretty much faded out of my hair, and I'm now considered a blonde (for the first time since I was 6), I have become obsessed (again) with studs and looking badass a la Taylor Momsen in her early days.

What do you think of this look? Would you rock it?

The 4th

Tank: Target // Top: Express // Shorts: Target // Shoes: Payless // Sunglasses: Wal-Mart // Necklace: Milwaukee Art Museum // Bracelet: JewelMint // Watch: Betsey Johnson

Top: H&M // Skirt: Kmart // Shoes: Crocs // Sunglasses: Urban Outfitters
I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July! We had a record heat wave here in Wisconsin, it got all the way up to 104 degrees! So, naturally we spent the day sitting in our kiddie pools and having water fights. Then we ended the day with an amazing fireworks show.
My cousin, Deanna, and I had so much fun getting ready yesterday! It took us about two hours to do our nails. Lots of trail and error!

Summer Plans

T-shirt: Target // Tank: Wal-Mart // Shorts: Target // Shoes: ALDO // Earrings: Thrifted // Bracelet: JewelMint // Watch: Betsey Johnson // Necklace: Pangea Handmade
Oh my goodness, it has been forever since I've had a chance to do a blog post! It's been a little crazy around here lately. I started working at ALDO and Express, and I have family from Seattle in town for two weeks.
Yesterday we went to the Madison Farmer's Market, where I found this beautiful little shop of handmade jewelry, Pangea Handmade. She lives in Madison, and the most amazing things. I bought the necklace from her. Then, last night we all went to the Campus Union to watch Rhythm and Booms. We still have lots of stuff planned for this week too, from the Milwaukee Art Museum to 6 Flags to our annual 4th of July party my family throws.

What have you all been up to this summer?
