Leap Day

Pants: Hue // T-Shirt: Jason Wu for Target // Tank: Wet Seal // Hat: From Cassie // Long Necklace: JewelMint // Paris Necklace: Forever 21 // Boots: Target
Ah leap day. I hate leap days. Tomorrow is my birthday and every four years, I have to wait an extra day for it. Yes, I know almost everyone else does too, but I feel it the most because my birthday is the next day.

This morning when I was getting dressed, I picked out my comfiest clothes because I only had one class today. When I looked in the mirror, I ended up loving what I was wearing! I love it when that happens!
This shirt is a size too big, and at first I thought about returning it, but now I think I like it baggy like this.

I hope everyone is having a good day! I can't wait until tomorrow!! :)

A Thrifted Outfit

Shirt: Rue 21 // Vest: Thrifted // Jeans: Forever 21 // Shoes: Missoni for Target // Glasses: Ray-Ban // Belt: Thrifted
Today I have been sewing and sewing and sewing. Working on my birthday dress, and altering/fitting some of the items I thrifted in the last few months. I have a lot of catching up to do! If she has some time tomorrow, I'll have Liz take some pictures of what I've been working on.

I scored these shoes at Goodwill a while back, original tags still on them! It's not very often that Goodwill has good shoes in my size, mostly because I'm a pretty average size 8 so everything goes pretty quickly. I was eyeing these beauties back when they were actually at Target, but $40 just felt too steep for me. So you bet I was really excited when I saw these babies in my size and with the original tags. Score!

P.S. I practically thrifted this whole outfit. And the items I didn't thrift, didn't cost more than $10. Whoot whoot! (Yes, I actually find that really exciting.)

Glamural: Kate Spade

After seeing some photos from Kate Spade in NYFW, I hopped on over to katespade.com to check out everything on her website. I had (obviously) heard of Kate Spade before, but I never really paid attention to her clothes. Can I just say, I totally fell in love! (I know, who hasn't.) So, this glamural is dedicated to her.

Glamural: Kate Spade

I love the colors and patterns! I also love all the sayings! "Play hooky" and "Eat cake for breakfast" are two of my favorites. "Start each day like it's your birthday" is my background on my computer right now, with my birthday being less than a week away and all! And I love love love the telephone Iphone case, but I need an Iphone first. Haha.

My Interpretation of My Time In Stevens Point

Skirt: Handmade // Sweater: Aero // Belt: Charlotte Russe // Tights: Target // Shoes: Urban Outfitters
I call this skirt "my interpretation of my time spent in Stevens Point". I was at a thrift store last Saturday and I saw this material there for $1. I decided it was awful and awesome at the same time. If I were to ever go hunting (hahahahaha), this is what I would look like. I even remembered the orange.

Jason Wu for Target

Dress: Thrifted // Sweater: Aero // Tights: Target // Flats: Charlotte Russe // Purse: Jason Wu for Target // Earrings: Betsey Johnson
These were taken last Friday. I tried to post them yesterday, but Blogger didn't seem to want to load my pictures. You can tell this isn't today, because today it is snowing. A lot. Bah.

I am so excited to present my Jason Wu for Target purse! Instead of racing to the store the day his line was released, I thought smart lucked out by happening to be online around 3am day of. Of course, I couldn't get my hands on any of the dresses I really wanted because they were all in store only, but I saw this purse and it just screamed my name! Baby blue with daisies. Quintessential me. And waiting for it to be delivered was totally worth not having to hassle with everyone else in the stores. I stopped into Target that day around 4, and everything was gone, like it never happened. Now his collection is going for major bucks on ebay. I browsed a little, and just my purse alone (which was $39.99) is going for a good $150!  Did anyone else snag a Jason Wu item? Was there something you were hoping for but didn't get to in time?

Also, on Saturday I went to see the lovely Cassie Dee! Don't you love her new glasses?! We're Ray-Ban sisters now! :)

P.S. Birthday countdown! 9 more days!

Mirror, Mirror

Sweater: Thrifted // Dress: Wet Seal // Belt: Thrifted // Tights: Target // Shoes: Payless
Snow White is nowhere near my favorite princess (Belle is, with Ariel close behind), but with, I believe, two movies coming out soon and the show Once Upon A Time, Snow White is pretty big right now. So I took a page out of DisneyBound's book and put together my own Snow White inspired outfit. This is one of my favorite blogs to browse through, being such a big Disney fan myself.
I'm all about Disney princess movies being remade into more modern movies, but when are they going to do a Beauty and the Beast one? Because Beastly was a rather poor attempt.

What is your favorite Disney character? Would you dress like them?

The Valentine's Day Dress

Coat: Candie's // Sweater: Target // Dress: Hademade by me // Tights: Target // Flats: Target // Earrings: Claire's // Belt: Rue 21

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day! Imagine my pleasant surprise when I got home from class to find a package at my door step. (I don't ask for Valentine's Day gifts as my birthday is in two weeks.) Garrett bought me a lucky bamboo in the shape of a heart! It's so unique and fun! I love it! Thank you honey!
I also received a beautiful card in the mail from my mom and Bob. Thank you to you guys too!

This is my first dress made completely by me, by myself. It's a rather difficult task I tell you, because it's hard to measure and pin it when you are wearing it. But I'm so happy with how it turned out! I can't wait for it to get warmer so I can wear it without the sweater! This also means I can get started on making my birthday dress.

What did you do for Valentine's Day? What did you wear?

A Pleated Skirt

Dress: Wet Seal // Sweater: Wet Seal // Tights: Target // Shoes: Urban Outfitters // Belt: Charlotte Russe // Bow Ring: Charlotte Russe // Glasses: Ray-Ban

I have been feel a little uninspired lately. I believe this town is toxic. But I think I'm starting to get my groove back. I got to go shopping with my little sister over the weekend and I am currently in the middle of sewing a Valentine's Day dress (despite my lack of Valentine's Day plans), and when I'm done I will be starting on my birthday dress, which is coming up soon! :)

I know I don't normally shop at Wet Seal anymore, but I was in the store with my sister and this dress was too good to pass up! The skirt part has little bows all over it. I have been seeing pleated skirts everywhere lately so I'm excited to have one in my rotation now. Any thoughts on pleated skirts?
