I always like to go for comfy when I work the closing shift (12:30-9:00), especially on the weekends. Customer Service is the only open department on the weekends, so the whole building is quiet. 

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on these boots, but ultimately they are one of our top sellers on the site. They're really versatile (at least I think so!), so I thought they made a good choice for my first Jeffrey Campbells. I'll keep you in the loop as I wear them more.

This is my modern day 90's outfit. Combat boots and thumbholes. Two things I loved in my childhood. I used to cut thumbholes into all my sweaters when I was younger. Once I saw that they actually sell tops with thumbholes already cut out, I was in heaven!

Today was filled with pumpkin picking, pumpkin carving and pumpkin seed cooking. A perfect fall day. One of my coworkers told me about this pumpkin farm, Eplegaarden, and it seems pretty cool so Garrett and I decided to check it out. Naturally, being the day before Halloween (and a Tuesday) the place was pretty dead, but we got the last of the good pumpkins! Once we got home, we popped in The Avengers and got to carving! Here's how they turned out:

It's funny how tastes can change over time. When I was young, like pre-school young, I refused to wear jeans. I would only wear leggings. As I got older, I would only wear flared jeans. When skinny jeans became popular again (around high school), I stuck to my guns and still only wore flared jeans. Finally in college I branched out to skinny jeans until finally I only wore skinnies. Now I feel like I've come full circle (almost), because I'm currently loving my wide flared pants. I wish I could alternate these jeans and these pants everyday. That might be weird though.

Fall Inspiration

Something many people may not know about Wisconsin, we are one of the few places that actually really experience all four season. Now that Fall is here, this means layers, layers and more layers! I love a good sweater dress on fall days. When the weather is nice and cool, a sweater dress is the perfect thickness without overheating. This is one of my favorite scarves. It's thin, but warm and just the right length. I bought it in the grey when I was still working at ALDO, but I may need to go back to get the other colors too!

Well, it certainly has been a while, hasn't it? I noticed now that I work a job where I'm sitting in front of a desk all day, it's difficult to be on the computer when I get home. I'm going to keep trying though!

I'm always looking for new ways to wear the clothes I already own. This plaid shirt has been a favorite of mine to mix and match. I was originally inspired by this photo:

How amazing are these pants? I've been keeping my eye out for a great pair of white, extremely flared pants for about a year now. I was so excited when I found these! They fit like a glove and they're super comfortable. The white makes them classic, the corduroy makes them fall. I'm completely smitten!
